I think its a 2 point moving violation, I am CT resident, question is do you think my car insurance will go up? if yes then how much I should expect it to go up? NY law states that one have to have car headlights on 1.5 hrs before and after sunset, I got the ticket at 7.45PM in Sept, sunset was at 7 PM so I think I have good chance to plead for non guilty (and it was a rented car, road was well lit etc), please suggest what will be the best option...pay the fine or to plead non guilty? im from staten island new york i was in a accident awhile ago and the insurance card i had in my car was expired ok keep in mind my father takes care of the insurance with the car since its his i just borrowed thecar that day for school...so im just thinking he 4got to put the new card in the car we can fight this ticket..now i have to go to court with the insurance card for proof that i had insurance..i was wondering thou since its not my car or my insurance i was just driving it will i face any problems? bc the dmv told me if you drive without insurance your license can be suspended but like i said it wasnt my car or my insurance i was just borrwoing the car..please someone help me my father is a liar i feel he didnt have insurance and how cruel is that for a parent to let the kid take the car without insurance i could of been severely hurt (more...)

I had 2 no insurance tickets in NY for a car that wasn't mine and they were both achieved a week after the other. I moved to NC before my court dates. When I went to court 3 years later (I know that's really bad) they threw out the 1 ticket but the other one was showing up at DMV as default conviction and that I couldn't go to get it thrown out. I also got arrested in Staten Island at the toll booth between all of this on the way back to NC from Thanksgiving break for driving with a suspended license due to missing my court dates. When I went to try and take care of all this on Long Island, I was told the only thing showing was the 1 insurance ticket for $750. It had been around 10 months since the suspended license ticket in SI when I was told that it wasn't showing up. But to clear my license up in NC, would they see my SI ticket if the DMV in LI doesn't? I've heard the 2 DMV's (SI and LI) aren't linked to each other. It;s so hard to explain but ANY type of help would be appreciated. (more...)

At 15 yo, house burned down...8 months later it did it again. Got sholorship to go to college, but coudnt go, had to help rebuild the house. Almost died in the fire. @ 18 broke both front teeth on batub nite of senior prom. ODd on valuim at 24. Lost all 4 grandparent before 30yo. Went 2 nitclub in staten island to shoot pool, mafia owned business, got both ankles broken on the sidewalk....and head beat in..lived! Got married @ 33...wife betrayed me 6 times in ten years. @ 40 spent time in jail for a crime I did not commit! At 44 got bladder cancer and had most of my guts removed and lost job, on disability now. Lost home, and financial security due to lack in the insurance for the operation. Cannot afford follow ups on cancer. I sit here and read how someone is suspicious of their boyfriend cheating on them, or worried about using the wrong hair dye....does anyone truly think that I really find these trivial things important???
